Elevation Language and Music School
Where we grow well together.
Music connects the world through a universal language of the soul. This is why I enjoy music, and love imparting the skills and knowledge for others to enjoy music and enjoy life.
Being heard, known, and understood are some of people's deepest desires because they equate to being loved. Through learning to play the piano, a person gains another way to know herself and to be known and loved for her inner beauty.
Seeing the transformation in my students' lives over the years of their piano and music studies keep me on the mission to continue to learn, improve, and impart even more wisdom, love, and knowledge for students of all ages to thrive and enjoy music and their lives.
These are just some of the collaborators on our work:

Evelyn began her music education during her years in kindergarten. Her introduction to music, however, already began when in her mother's womb, with plenty of Beethoven and Mozart's masterpieces playing on repeat.
Her love for children and the responsibility she feels for the well-being and growth of the future generations keep her constantly mastering her own musical art as well as her pedagogy -- the art of teaching.
Evelyn is also a professional speaker for topics on Education, Music, and Heart-centered Approach to Life.

Personal and Universal
No two pianists play the same composition exactly the same way. There may be great similarities, but at the end, it is all about the pianist's expression of himself/herself through music.
As a teacher it is important to recognize that every student's soul searches for such expression, and individual character needs to be nurtured to prolong the passion of a budding artist.
What needs to be taught and corrected then, is the fundamentals of the piece composed. The original intent, setting, and effect of the music when understood offer a contained freedom for beautiful self-expressions that connects the musician to the audience.
The EMG Teaching Difference
As a teacher, I am a guide to bring out the most potential in my students. I share knowledge and wisdom joyfully in hopes of my students surpassing me by their own effort and merit. In order to give more to my students, I constantly add to my own studies of music to further hone my musicianship and teaching abilities. I give my love generously to nurture their growth as musicians, artists, and human beings.
I expect students to achieve excellence while forgoing perfection, and to be honest to themselves and others, including me. I leave room for creativity and self-expression to be appreciated, and not be dominated or limited by traditional form.
Expect greatness and let it show up in full form.
